Wonder how today's planners use lessons from Riverside and Olmsted? Join us for a not-to-be-missed discussion, "Olmsted's Design Lessons For Today." A blue-ribbon panel of speakers is slated to discuss this lively topic and explore how Olmsted’s naturalistic and community-focused designs are relevant for today’s communities. Speakers include Ed Uhlir, FAIA, Executive Director at Millennium Park Inc.; Ferhat Zarin AICP, Ginkgo Planning and Design Inc.; Beth White, Chicago Area Office Director for The Trust for Public Lands; and Randy Blankenhorn, Executive Director of Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP).

Register at http://www.fredinriverside.org/, or stop by the Village Hall on Saturday. (See the website for other landscape design classes available.)

After the panel discussion, watch the excitement as the hand-painted planters adorning Village Hall and the Riverside Public Library are auctioned. Also - the winner of the FRED Riverside Gateway Design Competition will be announced. Attendance to panel discussion, auction and award ceremony is FREE!
