The Bartlett Seminars
This spring marks the arrival of a new Illinois Chapter educational series: The Bartlett Seminars sponsored by Bartlett Tree Experts.
The series will feature a variety of speakers exploring topics pertaining to the practice of landscape architecture. Its goal is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas that support and enrich practitioners’ experience.
The series kicks off April 12, 2012 in celebration of Landscape Architecture month with a talk by author Barbara Geiger, who will present “low-Key Genius: The Life and Work of Landscape Gardener O.C. Simonds” at the American Institute of Architecture Chicago in downtown Chicago.
The second Bartlett Seminars talk will be June 28, 2012 at the Chicago Botanic Garden, featuring Peter Walker, FASLA, who will explore trees in design as the keynote speaker of “trees as a Legacy in Design & Development.” Chapter members will receive a special discount, with admission to Peter Walker’s talk and the full symposium at a considerably reduced rate.
